New Orleans, LA - New Orleans CityBusiness will honor Southern Animal Foundation Executive Director Anne Bell in its upcoming "Health Care Heroes" edition for her work in operating the city's only low-cost, non-profit animal hospitals.
"I am honored to be recognized as a 'Health Care Hero' by CityBusiness," said Bell. "Animal rescue and adoption are my passion, and I am proud that the Southern Animal Foundation is able to provide these vital services to the region."
The "Health Care Heroes" list recognizes 50 top professionals in the state's health care industry based on professional and community achievement. Honorees will be recognized in the May 27 issue of CityBusiness and at a May 25 luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. This fifth annual edition honors healthcare providers, first responders, volunteers and professionals in a variety of fields and disciplines.
"It's truly humbling to be in such good company," Bell said. "I hope our citizens continue to recognize the importance of animal healthcare, not only for the animals' sake but for public health and safety."
